NGOs with a mandate to work with the UN and its family of organizations need to develop the know-how and to build effective networks of relationships. The NGO Academy provides training needed to become more effective partners with the UN, other NGOs, and the intergovernmental community.
Having learned through our own experience that the capacity of each NGO’s team of staff, interns and volunteers directly affects the NGO’s ability to fulfill its mission, we have taken up the mission of providing cutting edge and essential resources for NGOs working in consultative status with the UN—and those interested in preparing to do so.
We help provide you with the basic information, perspectives and steps you need to know to have a clear strategy tailored for the UN and intergovernmental environments. In short, we help you go from hope to clarity, from intent to action, from word to deed.
Our core online training program is called the Advocacy Algorithm and it covers all the basics you need. We also provide cutting edge leadership training to equip today’s leaders with the tools, knowledge and support they need to make a difference that astounds—even in these uncertain and fast-paced times.
In fact, it is the urgency built into the non-profit sector of making the greatest possible change as soon as possible that often drives innovation and high levels of performance. Sadly there are also many NGOs that suffer from passionitis and get lost on the way.
